Organic Statute of Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX)

Today the Organic Statute of PEMEX was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, in such a way that the previous Statute of April 28, 2015 was abrogated.

Organic Statute aims to establish the structure and basic organization and functions of the different areas that make up Pemex, as well as the managers or staff that will have the representation of it and those who can grant powers on behalf of the company and the basic rules for the functioning of the Board of Directors and its committees.

In this regard, it should be noted that Pemex is a state-owned company, exclusively owned by the Federal Government, with its own legal personality and assets, which enjoys technical, operational and management autonomy.

The seven productive companies referred to in the Official Gazette of the Federation are:

• Pemex Exploración y Producción;

• Pemex Transformación Industrial;

• Pemex Perforación y Servicios;

• Pemex Logística;

• Pemex Cogeneración y Servicios;

• Pemex Fertilizantes; y

• Pemex Etileno.
