Professional Experience

He joined Rubio Villegas y Asociados in 2008.

His practice focuses on corporate, transactional corporate, foreign investment, intellectual and industrial property and immigration law.

He advises and represents clients on investment, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, as well as issues of personal data protection and foreign investments in different industries. Likewise, Jorge Barrera also has extensive experience in trademark protection issues and an vast practice in immigration issues.

Participated in the negotiation and drafting of legal documents for a private investor in a joint venture transaction regarding the packaging industry.

Participated in various international acquisitions of shares and assets.

Participated in the due diligence process for a mining entity located in Chihuahua, producer of silver, composed of eight companies.

Participated in the negotiation and drafting of legal documents related to a mining entity to obtain credits before the Mining Development Trust Fund (FIFOMI) and Bancomext in the amount of $ 36.5MD.

Participated in the negotiation and drafting of legal documents related to the State of Mexico for the development of a local water law.

 

Advised foreign officials and employees of a leading cellular distribution company on immigration issues.

 

Jorge Barrera participated in the negotiation and development of legal documents related to the acquisition of a moral person of the cogeneration industry of energy by a leading company in foods.

 

He also participated in the negotiation and drafting of legal documents related to the construction and development of two Modal Transfer Center (CETRAM) in Mexico City.

 

Advisor and consultant on issues of registration and renewal of trademark rights before the Mexican authorities for several leading companies, national and foreign.
